The 2009 STUFF THE TRUCK FOOD DRIVE was a great success! Thank you to everyone who participated!
The annual STUFF THE TRUCK food drive benefits the CCA Regional Food Bank, which supplies all of the food banks in Clatsop County. The demand for emergency food is at an all time high, and CCA has had to ration food in order to keep up with the demand. STUFF THE TRUCK 2009 will help make a much brighter holiday season for those families in need because we collected more than 7,150 pounds of food plus we raised enough money to purchase almost 38,000 pounds of food through the donated food system. We had barrels and representatives from CCA and Arbor Care at Fred Meyer in Warrenton and Safeway in Astoria and Seaside. We also had collection barrels at various retail locations around the county.
